A site-responsive installation rooted in the ceiling and the walls of the gallery. Made from twisted salvaged demolition rebar,
constructed of strangely bent neon which mimics and riffs on the rebar. Recycled laboratory clamps hold the fragile neon close to the steel.
Cast bronze sculptures and resin-soaked photographs mounted to shattered glass complete the mix.
Independent of the usual neutral gallery lighting, the installation illuminates itself both from the back and the front...eerily
reminiscent of a deep-water fish living in darkness below the sunlight.
